Sacramento, CA: Atlas ReFuel – the first company in North America to utilize Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), created directly from organic waste, as transportation fuel – announced that it is changing its name to ReFuel Energy Partners. The name change was made to better reflect the impact ReFuel Energy wants to have on the community and marketplace. ReFuel Energy specializes in building partnerships throughout the renewable energy market, connecting those partners with solutions that meet their fuel, waste, or energy needs.
“The name change and logo update is an evolution of who we are and what we want to become. As an energy company, we understand there are many puzzle pieces that need to come together to make a project successful,” said Sean Moen, General Manager of ReFuel Energy Partners. “Our name is a reflection of that and what is in our company’s DNA. It mirrors our dedication to deep, meaningful, and beneficial partnerships. ReFuel Energy Partners has one compressed natural gas station (CNG) located in the center of the Sacramento region and a second station under-construction in San Jose. Both stations are supplied with Renewable Natural Gas. The Sacramento station is currently the only station being directly supplied with RNG made using organic waste collected throughout the region.
The new name is effective immediately and will be implemented throughout the company’s communications channels during 2017.
